ADHD In Children
How Teachers Can Identify and Support Children with ADHD
Research shows that approximately 3.5% of children exhibit full ADHD symptoms, leading to challenges in learning, behaviour and emotional well-being. Without appropriate support, they are at higher risk of self-harm and disengagement. Due to resource limitations in mental health services, many students do not receive timely intervention, often resulting in classroom disruptions that impact teaching and learning. This course equips teachers with essential skills to create an inclusive, structured, and engaging environment for students with ADHD.
At CPI, we believe it’s crucial for teachers to feel confident in supporting these children, especially in a world where help isn’t always readily available. It’s common to fear saying the wrong thing or feeling unprepared to handle such situations. That’s why this course will help you understand not just how to support your students, but also what they truly need. Most importantly, you’ll discover why having someone like you who truly sees them can make all the difference.
“Even the tallest trees always begin as a seed.”

Incorporating a fully inclusive approach
LEARN TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE AND SUPPORT CHILDREN WITH ADHD
Through our EPV Summer Courses, we are always striving to be responsive to the needs of teachers so that we’re really creating meaningful content that will have a significant and lasting impact across your career. The topic of ADHD has been a controversial one, but it is one that keeps coming up. Whether or not a child has a diagnosis of ADHD is not important; what’s relevant is if you feel this child has poor attention, lots of energy in their body and is too easily distracted. In other words, if you find it difficult to teach a child with any/all of these issues, then this course will be extremely beneficial for you! It will be full to the brim of explanations, theory and practical strategies that you can easily implement in your classroom.
This course is ten hours of audio content, visual content and assessment in total, and there are ten hours of recommended reading and resources for you to further develop your own learning.
